Utilizing efficient, eco-friendly design, Shared Housing Center’s Green Haus is the newest model for creating efficient, comfortable, and affordable housing options for rebuilding families and broken lives. This all-green (LEED certified), 24-unit community will provide a supportive housing environment for single-parent families with dependent children, homeless veterans, and disabled and older homeless adults. Built on approximately one acre near the Santa Fe Trail in East Dallas, the complex will have four residential buildings, one community building for residents, recreational space and Santa Fe Trail access, as well as a community garden that will provide better food awareness and nutrition. The project will also have a naming opportunity that will feature the GLFD logo as they serve the community.
